Wild Medicine, Autumn and Winter – November 2023 Book Club Review
Our first book, selected for the Book Club was Wild Medicine, Autumn and Winter, written by Herbalist Ali English.
The book is beautifully written and incorporates a wide range of interesting lore about herbs. The book is illustrated with the authors own photographs and is packed with recipes, remedies and ideas for making the most of nature’s abundant bounty.
The author encourages the reader to love native plants and inspires us to gather and make our own medicine.
Members of our Book Club enjoyed reading and discussing this book. We each spoke about herbs we have seen, foraged and used ourselves from the book. We also discussed places where we could purchase herbs/seeds for our own gardens and eveb swapped a recipe for a fruit leather.
