Herbs for Everyday Living (in-class course)

This herbal medicine short course provides knowledge of how herbs can support the health of the whole family, what herbs can be used in some common conditions, and how to incorporate them in everyday recipes. It also offers students an opportunity for hands-on experience with herbs they may not have seen in a whole form before and to learn how to grow, gather and harvest plants safely.
It is the ideal starting point for those interested in using herbs and natural healing in their everyday life. The course provides you with safe and practical knowledge of traditional herbal remedies for the whole family and aims to educate you about using ‘at home’ naturopathic (natural healing)techniques, kitchen herbs for medicinal use and step-by-step demonstrations on how to make your own herbal ointments, tinctures, decoctions and more. Key learnings you’ll take from the course include:
How to use herbal remedies to treat common illnesses and ailments including colds, coughs, arthritis, and cholesterol.
Build knowledge on how to safely cleanse vital organs and systems, for example the liver and lymphatic system
Develop an understanding of the best herbs for women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, children’s health, menopause, and male health
How to use naturopathic techniques such as skin brushing and castor oil packing.
