A hard-back book by two women that met while studying Herbal Medicine at Westminster university. Kim has gone on to work at Kew’s Royal Botanical Gardens, as a historical plant researcher, while Victoria works at the Handmade Apothecary in London, a business they share and the name of their first book together.

This book is an ideal for a beginner or future herbalist .We were all depended on herbs and our way of life encouraged that knowledge was passed on, this book encourages the reader to take the knowledge and apply it, whilst not forgetting there are trained professionals that you can consult also.

There are sections on: How to use herbs safely, Sourcing herbs, Internal and external remedies, Culinary herbs and First aid,

Commonly found herbs and spices are used to alleviate and support the body systems. Subjects including, digestive heath, immunity, men’s health, muscles, bones and joints, emotions and children’s health, with recipes such as pastilles, syrups, bath balls, vinegars, tonics, infusions and lotions clearly guiding the reader into making their own.

Beautifully illustrated throughout, with good photography and clear step by step instructions to encourage anyone that they too can help themselves and others, when it comes to self-care.

The ‘Dark & Moody Truffles’ are a triumph, that anyone craving something sweet and chocolate would adore. A book to enjoy and make part of daily life for anyone that wants to be inspired.
