Herbal Medicine in Treating Gynaecological Conditions Volume 2: Specific Conditions and Management Through the Practical Usage of Herbs
Women’s gynaecological conditions are often dismissed, and sadly they can become deep-rootedproblems that can destroy quality of life. Maybe it’s because men don’t always understand the complexities of being a woman, or it’s simply not easy or important enough to help women in the way they need support, as it can be very time consuming and takes in other aspects of life.
This second volume from the authors, is a deep dive into herbal medicine in the treatment of gynaecological conditions for women, explaining how conditions are much more than just hormonal based, which was the focus in book one.
Volume two is well researched, with one third of the book being notes and references. There are practical guidelines from the wealth of experience and knowledge that both authors have.
It’s written in two main sections, with chapters including aetiology, pathophysiology, conventional treatment and
investigations, along with key herbs used by herbal practitioners and the sharing of any relevant research
and personal experiences. Many myths and inaccurate information often seen on social media are blown apart in this book, and there are references to history and the Electics of North America. It may be a technical and weighty volume, but it needs to be when studying such important health conditions. I particularly like that nutrition is covered, with details on what is required and where it can be sourced from natural sources and included in daily life. The combination of research and traditional knowledge is all here in one volume, guiding the reader to become much better informed and in a user-friendly way.
