Three ways to support The Herb Society
As a small charity, we rely on volunteers and trustees to spread the word about the wide variety of herbs, how to grow them and their medicinal and culinary benefits. We also rely on financial assistance from our members and there are three ways in which you can help us – either by donating to us, signing up for Gift Aid or by leaving us a legacy in your will, or all three! This income is vital for us to continue our work to:
- Further promote the Society to recruit new members
- Fund educational events, both in person and online, with informative speakers for both members and our student group and junior herbalists
- Purchase equipment and learning aids
- Archive our resources and digitise our back catalogue of educational material
Donations
A donation, however large or small, will help us enormously to continue our valuable work.
You can make donations directly to The Herb Society to support our projects.
Legacy
The Herb Society is nearly one hundred years’ old. As a current member, by leaving a legacy in your will, it will help to secure the Society for future generations to come.

Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a government scheme allowing charities like us to reclaim 25p in every £1 collected.
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can help us when signing up for membership, by simply ticking ‘yes’ to Gift Aid. the Society will receive an additional 25% on top of your membership fee, which is extremely valuable to us. Please note that you can opt out of Gift Aid at any time just by contacting us.
