We welcome members with an interest in any aspect of herbs – whether medical or culinary, horticultural or historical, foraging or folklore, growing or crafting -at any level, amateur or professional. We look forward to welcoming you to our community of herb lovers!
By joining the Herb Society you are helping the only UK charity dedicated to promoting the use and enjoyment of herbs to continue its legacy, started in 1927, by our founder Hilda Leyel. You will also enjoy many exclusive member benefits each year from as little as £40.

Individual, joint or overseas membership benefits:
- A subscription to Herbs, The Herb Society magazine published 3 times a year. Herbs offers a glimpse into the many dimensions of the herbal world, arriving with the rhythm of the seasons in its spring, summer and autumn/winter editions. Within its pages, readers encounter remedies and recipes to try at home, contributions from the herbal community – growers, foragers, medical herbalists, cooks, artists, researchers and more. Historical perspectives, considered book reviews and international insights broaden the scope, and encourage a curious engagement with the world of herbs.

Corporate members
If you run a business, consider supporting The Herb Society by joining as a corporate member. Our corporate members are herb growers, educational institutions, herbal registrations, herbal skincare producers, publishers, apothecaries, gardens, herbal medicine makers and more!
