Awaken Herbal Wisdom
Awaken Herbal Wisdom is a living herbal apprenticeship that gently weaves the study of herbal medicine into your daily life, whilst rooting you within a real and supportive community. At Heritage School of Herbal Medicine, our practice of herbalism is grounded in the belief that we must remember, reclaim and relearn our knowledge of our bodies, our autonomy, and how to work with plant medicine — bringing the care of our health back into our families and homes for a more sustainable future for ourselves and the planet.
Thoughtfully adapted for modern life, this apprenticeship offers up to three years of development for those who wish to cultivate a deep understanding of herbal medicine to support themselves and their families. Our teaching draws on time-honoured approaches: dedicated in-person teaching days with an experienced practitioner at our beautiful yurt in the East Yorkshire countryside; oral transmission through guided 1:1 audio teachings you can return to in your own time; heirloom coursebooks to hold your written record; and shared experience through community gatherings. Together, these strands create a way of learning that is not separate from life, but lived within it.
