Year Long Herbal Foundations
September 27, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - June 8, 2025 @ 3:00 pm
Join medical herbalists, Amaia Dadachanji from Wild Apothecary and Zoë Blackwell from Blackwell Herbs, on this in-person immersive journey through the seasons of a full year. Learning through hands-on experiences, practical skills, sensory plant connection, and traditional herbal training.
Starting in September, we hold four immersive retreat weekends in a beautiful area of North Wales. Here we create a unique learning environment, with indoor teaching and herb walks out on the land and to sacred sites.
We teach from our combined experiences, each having twenty years in practice, our traditional training and the teachings from our herbal elders. We weave in our creativity and work with an awareness of the elemental aspects in ourselves, the Earth, our plant kin, and the influence of the plantary cycles.
Each month you will be guided to create your own home apothecary of medicines, with practical medicine making sessions. We teach foraging & ethical harvesting skills, plant id, understanding your physiology and the interplay with plant constituents and energetics to inform herbal practice, and guide you to build your own herbarium reference book.
In-between our magical retreats we connect monthly with eight online meetings to have a supportive space to drink tea together, and discuss seasonal energetic changes, medicine making recipes, share experiences and support challenges.
This enriching course is suitable for both total beginners, or to deepen your knowledge of herbalism, and is recognised as a foundation level to professional training.
We’d love you welcome you along for the journey.
