Hawthorn Wildlife, Medicine and Folklore by Lucinda Warner

I met Lucinda via Instagram and reached out as her posts regularly get a like
from me. She is not only an herbalist, but a very talented artist and amateur
naturalist.
The book comes beautifully gift wrapped with a thank you card with
illustrations of moths. A treat indeed as soon as you see it and unwrap the gift.
This book is small enough to hold in one hand and enjoy from cover to cover or
dip into anytime. Illustrations include birds, mice, moths and butterflies along
with ideas to help with identification even in winter.
This well written book touches on folklore, wildlife and medicine and is very
much a personal observation by someone that loves nature. Recipes are
included, as are photographs along with the illustrations. The book takes you
through the seasons with Hawthorn and is a sheer delight, but a word of
warning, if like me you find it hard to part with, order more as gifts.
